The 8’08” Paopao (Golden trevally) was born out of obsession for flats foraging goldies. Designed to deliver accurate long range casts in high winds to distant tailers before they draw too near and spook. The rod also has an extreme amount of power in the butt section for lifting the full belly of the fly line out of the water allowing anglers to recast without having to strip the fly line all the way in. This attribute also allows for turning fish and lifting fish out of coral with the drag locked down. Built on hand rolled high modulus Toray Carbon with a very fast taper design. Unsanded raw carbon finish. Note: this rod is new, never used and ready to ship. Components include anodized reel seat with carbon insert, CERECOIL stripping guides, titanium coated snake guides, and oversized fighting butt.
