Pelagos is specifically focused on developing the best possible saltwater fly rods. Constant experimentation on and off the water has led to some significant refinements in design. Unlike many custom rod builders, all of our rods are built on our own blank designs. We offer a wide range of customization options on all of our models.
Modern fly rods are an amazing amusement that arose from the integration of technology with human concepts and biomechanics. Most modern fly rods are the result of a global manufacturing effort. Pelagos strives to be at the intersection of the supply chain when it comes to ethical practices to produce a quality product. Our rods are proudly made on Earth with innovation and global ethics in mind.
We will repair any damaged rod for a small nominal fee (starting cost is $80). If a rod is determined to be unrepairable, we can offer 50% off a new rod. We do not require rod owners to register their rods or to be the orignal owner.
